The IL 42 (T) is a very compact 2-way full-range loudspeaker enclosure with a built-in passive crossover. It is fitting with a directly loaded 4"-conical loudspeaker in a bass reflex housing and a 3/4"-high frequency dome tweeter. This equipment makes a frequency response in the bass range possible which is sufficient for the transmission of speech and the reproduction of background music without an additional subwoofer. Apart from clear and concise speech reproduction the IL 42 (T) stands out due to its tonal quality. It is ideally suited for closerange and background acoustic applications for which distances of up to approx. 5 m have to be bridged, depending on the sound pressure requirements, such as in bars, hotel foyers etc. Its small dimensions allow it to blend into the environment almost unnoticed. The IL 42 (T) is available both as a low-impedance version as well as with built-in 70 V / 100 V transformer (T-version).
