The RL 118 is an 18” bandpass bass horn featuring a cutting-edge design that delivers an ultra-low frequency range with a vast amount of sound pressure headroom. Special placement of the speaker in the horn ensures the magnet and subsequently the oscillation coil are subjected to ducted cooling in proportion to the load level so that annoying power compression is avoided even after many hours of high-load operation. The pneumatically distributed load on the membrane surface reduces distortion to an absolute minimum and guarantees exemplary impulse response.Model RL 118 F (Flying) includes Aeroquip suspension hardware.
